About me
Salvador Montó nace en Valencia, España.
Realiza sus primeras exposiciones en salas municipales y corporativas, pero en 1992 su carrera da un giro cuando obtiene la "Medalla de Plata" del Certamen Nacional de Pintura de Salamanca y en ese momento, decide dedicarse de manera profesional a la pintura.
El mismo año, Montó expone por vez primera de manera individual en la Galería Alfama (Madrid), donde los Duques de Alba, adquieren una de sus obras. En los años siguientes, participó en los más importantes certámenes de pintura, tanto nacionales como internacionales, y obtiene el Primer Premio en 6 de ellos, además de numerosas Menciones de Honor y Diplomas. También ha obtenido la "Medalla de Honor BMW" del prestigioso certamen de pintura BMW, en los años 1993, 1996, 2000 y 2002.
Su trabajo internacional comienza en 1995, cuando junto con otros cuatro artistas expone en la Galería La Boheme in Miami (USA). Después, Montó expone colectivamente y en ferias de arte en Londres, Estrasburgo, Siegen (Alemania), Buenos Aires, Berlin, Hamburgo, Roma, Milan, Gante, Innsbruck, Cracovia, Verona, Parma y Bruselas. Asimismo realiza exposiciones individuales en Milan, Brescia y Bruselas. Desde su primera exposición individual de 1992 en Madrid, hasta la actualidad, ha expuesto de modo regular en las principales ciudades españolas, como Madrid, Gijón, Barcelona, Bilbao, Sevilla, Córdoba y Valencia.
En 1998 y 2006, se publican dos monografías sobre el trabajo de Salvador Montó, "El paisaje interior" y "New York works".
Salvador Montó was born in Valencia, Spain.
He had his first exhibitions in municipal halls and companies, but in 1992 his career had a breakthrough when he obtained the first prize in the contest of Salamanca "Silver National Award for Painting" and from that moment, he decided to devote himself to painting professionally.
The same year, Montó exhibited for the first time in an individual exhibition at Gallery Alfama (Madrid), where the Duke of Alba bought one of his works. In the following ten years, he participated in major art competitions both nationally and internationally, and he achieved first place in 6 of them, resulting in numerous "mentions of honor and diplomas". He also received the "Medal Award of Honor BMW" of the prestigious contest of painting BMW in Spain, in the years 1993, 1996, 2000 and 2002.
His international work began in 1995, along with four other painters exhibiting at the gallery La Boheme in Miami (USA). Later, Montó exhibited in group shows and art fairs in London, Strasbourg, Siegen (Germany), Buenos Aires, Berlin, Hamburg, Rome, Milan, Ghent, Innsbruck, Krakow, Verona, Parma and Brussels. Also performs solo exhibitions in Milan, Brescia and Brussels.
From his first exhibition in 1992 in Madrid, to nowadays, he has exhibited regularly in major Spanish cities, like Madrid, Gijón, Barcelona, Bilbao, Seville, Córdoba and Valencia.
In 1998 and 2006 Salvador Montó published two monographs about his work, "The interior landscape" and "New York Works".
